How to secure my wallet ?

I have a wallet on blockchain.info and another on my machine using bitcoinQT. For both I have the latest print out. Now if...

1. Somehow I cant log into blockchain.info, then will I be able to use my coins using my paper wallet ?

2. Somehow the data file of my bitcoinQT gets corrupt, then will I be able to use my coins using my paper wallet ?

The optimum is to store cryptocurrencies on "air-gapped" hardware that is custom built to not allow attacks via the Internet, or through introduction of malware. Hardware wallets are common, but be aware of the risks. Semi-insulated wallet with USB connections and where you input your passwords & transactions on a PC or phone based user interface (e.g. MyEtherWallet) still carry the risk of "man in the middle" attacks.

The best wallet for the moment is https://blackbirdwallet.io/
