I think getting rid off the space junk is a logical place to start, making sure that the people and equipment up there stays safe. I doubt we are able to do anything about the radiation from supernovas anytime soon.

As for asteroids, who knows, maybe we will think of entirely new ways of dealing with those threats when we start mining them, learning how to change their orbit would be very beneficial for mining but also protecting earth at the same time.
