I have been interested in building a small research center near Wallops Island, VA USA. For those of you that don't know, this is where the Asgardia 1 will launch. They made a push a few years back to call the launch facility MARS (Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport). The vision just hasn't fully materialized yet, but... the launch facility is still there and they did build a research park. It is an underdeveloped place with cheap land and rents. I would like to suggest a meeting of researchers here during the Asgardia 1 launch. Perhaps we can call it the first Asgardia Research Convention.
