This project aims to design a software program to perform an image processing for a photocopied printed or handwritten page with dispersed folds and wrinkles to flatten it to make it smooth and to hide the creases of its folds and wrinkles and to recover the printed or handwritten text on the paper from the distortions resulted of the flattening process. The recovery process will be also done for the page itself when it is an old printed and handwritten page and it is required to preserve its antiquarian appearance of it which is the purpose of this software; to flatten the photocopied pages of the antiquarian books and documents which pages contain palenesses and blots. Keeping the palesnesses and the blots on the page, after the removal of creases is done, will preserve its antiquarian appearance.

An artificial intelligence system will be applied to achieve the required image processing and correctness. This AI system has to discriminate between the margins of the blots and the creases of the superficial folds and to recover the gaps resulted of the flattening process by refilling them. The content of the refilled gaps will be induced by an AI system based on 3D images of the superficial folds of the page.

After the goal of the correctness process of the antiquarian pages is realized successfully, the next step will be to perform the correctness process on the images in these pages to recover them from the effect of distortion after the smoothness is done on the pages which contain these images.
