I can see why ppl would be concerned about IDs being sent unencrypted, but at this point in time our ids don't have much value for anyone, not for individuals, since we don't provide any real personal info nor for governments since we don't present any political, or economic threat, I doubt most governments even know Asgardia even exists :) later on we do need to think about more secure way of handling it. if our ids become on same lvl as passports for other nations.

Yes these numbers are personalized but the information we do provide can be easily looked up/ hacked. What types of securities are in place to protect our identities? Our personal information? I don't mind sharing name and birthdate, but with that information, it also can be used against us in a crime. Thank you for your time.

"hacked" I'd question, if they've setup things "right". There's already been evidence of people being able to dip into that DB and retrieve w/e they'd like, so probably not.
It's possibly more concerning as to the random third parties they've already allowed to hold copies of this data.
It should take more than that data to commit a crime in your name, but it's a good start. It's really amazing what data is leaked, sometimes.

The Asgardian ID number is long enough to be potentially required in the future for the authentication process as an Asgardian or even any other authentication process within the future electronic asgardian systems. There is no benefit from sharing it publicly or even providing it to anyone or referring to it in any message even it is draft message unless the mailing system is guaranteed as a secured system.
